Tracking expenses should feel like texting
Ekonomist keeps a family budget inside Telegram. No forms, no dropdowns, no required fields: you write a sentence — the bot works out the amount, the currency and the category.
What it does
Plain sentences
“Coffee 120”, “taxi 350 yesterday” — the bot parses it. No menus, no forms.
Receipts: photo or PDF
Send a picture of the receipt or a PDF invoice — the bot reads the total, the date and the shop. Caption the photo with a family name — the receipt is recorded to that person.
One budget for the family
Invite people close to you — everyone sees who spent what. Whose expense it is, you can say in words or pick with the «👤 Who» button on the card.
Any currency
You pick your main one. Spending in another currency is converted at the rate of that day, not today's — last month's report does not change behind your back.
Recurring payments
Rent, subscriptions and salary are recorded on schedule, by themselves.
Statistics and limits
Where the month went, by category, and where it is time to slow down. Recent records can be edited or deleted right in the bot — the history pages by 10.
A screenshot of your bank transactions
A day brings a dozen small card payments, and typing them in one by one is no fun. Take a screenshot of the transaction list in your bank app and send it to the bot — it shows all the transactions as one summary: name, amount, category, date. Then it is your call: save them all, review one by one (record, skip, change the category or type, add a comment) or cancel. Nothing is recorded until you tap.
Balances, monthly totals, bonuses, bank offers and declined transactions are skipped by the bot itself. Transactions already in the budget (same amount on the same day) are marked, so a second screenshot of the same day does not record them twice. A transfer to a person is an expense, from a person — income; cashback paid in money is income. Up to 15 transactions at a time, more — in parts. Screenshots are read on both plans and during the trial; the bot does not keep the screenshot itself, only the records you confirmed remain.
Export to Excel and Google Sheets
Your records are always yours to take: the file arrives straight in the chat — for this year or for any earlier one. Inside: an overview by month, a separate tab for every month that has records — with categories, limits and what is left — and every operation as a list.
There is also export to Google Sheets. The spreadsheet is created on your own Drive, belongs to you and keeps itself up to date every morning — plus an "update now" button for when you need it right away. The bot asks for the narrowest access there is: only the file it created itself; the rest of your Drive stays invisible to it. You can disconnect at any time — in the bot or in your Google settings — and the spreadsheet stays with you. Details are in the privacy policy.
What it costs
A subscription is taken out in a separate bot: it is paid in roubles through Robokassa, and there is no auto-renewal — nothing is charged without a new action from you.

The longer the term, the cheaper the month: about a third off on the yearly one. The plans differ in exactly one way — on Family you can invite people close to you into the budget, up to four people including you; on Individual one person keeps it. Roles that expenses are recorded against («wife», «mum») exist on both plans, up to six, and a person does not have to use the bot for an expense to be recorded against them. New users get two weeks free; the trial is given once per person. Bank screenshots come with both plans and with the trial; inviting family members to the budget is on the Family plan only.
Without a subscription only recording new operations stops. Everything already recorded stays available to you: statistics, history and export work as usual.
